I haven't seen one since I was first diagnosed. If my antibodies ever get under control I think I would go back to one. My eating habits have gone so downhill in the last two years :( Glad you are finding it helpful Gen.

The last time I had a visit with a CDE or nutritionist was back in 2004. I learned alot from them but I like spice, not bland or boring food. Maybe I might make an appointment just to see what's changed.

My CDE is also a nutritionist but doesn't concentrate too much on my foods honestly .. more my patterns and insulin rates. I see her about 4 times a year. The last thing she recommended to me was to have more protein for breakfast to help with higher postprandial numbers. Which has worked somewhat. She never gave me a specific diet to follow or anything like that which I'm glad for.
