Happy New Year One and All!

This post is by Venus!

Happy New Year! I hope the first day of 2010 has treated you all well.
This year and the start of a new decade looks very promising for all aspects of life.
Good bye 2009! Good bye to all the stupidity that you carried throughout the year.
But please leave the goodness and magnificence of great friends and love.

Right before Christmas my Dexcom was approved. I did have some conflicts with UPS, but I did receive my Dexcom on Tuesday evening.
I then had training on Wednesday and now I am a full convert of the Dexcom :)
So far I have not been over 300 since I have been on it, except for one episode. I know 300 doesn’t seem very exciting, however for someone who has a lot of high’s, this is fantastic!

Before 2009 ended, it decided to bring me other great news.
Yesterday, the last day the year, I got a call that my pump was approved! I was not expecting to hear anything until next week. Usually you don’t since its the holiday season, and the representatives and employees of such businesses are usually on vacation.
However the universe was wonderful and I was granted the approval!
I am very excited as this has been a long wait from the point I decided (a back and forth decision for the last 7yrs) to be personally completely pro-pump and go through all the necessary paper work and procedures the insurance company laid before Dr. Tamler and myself.

So 2010 is looking pretty shiny and promising for me and I hope it is for you and your loved ones as well!
