West Coast Holiday Meet Up - Join us!

I hope this post finds everyone in “good” bloodsugar control and holiday happiness : )

Have I mentioned how much I love my job? They give us a week and half every Dec/Jan for the holidays off from work. This year I am in California getting some much needed R&R from mama Taylor, papasan, and my baby niece. I have done nothing but eat, drink, watch movies, shop, and sleep.

I received some great news from my endo right before leaving NYC – my A1C was FINALLY below 8.5 … 7.7! I have not had an A1C of that level in my 13 years of life with this not-so-fabulous disease. I was (and still am) totally stoked that I finally reached it. I am not quite sure what I did to get to 7.7, but I am sure it did not include all of the foods, desserts and drinks from the holidays. After 4 days of falling off the wagon, I am determined to nip this in the bud before another day passes with these crazy eating habits… fingers crossed.

Anyway, the REAL reason for this post is to let all of the “ACT1 -ers” who are in the SF Bay Area know that we are having a west coast meet up on Monday, December 28th at 5:00PM PST in San Francisco. Katie and I are in Cali and would love to meet all of you cool people! Feel free to bring your loved one(s), roommate, or whoever. Katie is bringer her fabulous girlfriend and girlfriend’s mom. I’m bringing Mama Taylor : )
