Buddy's blog

I remember the day that the Lady [Gen] came home from the hospital, its hard to forget, the Man [Gen's husband John] was gone longer then he was supposed to, and most of our food was gone. Who am I you ask? My name is Buddy, and I am a cat, and quite a spectacular one, if I may admit. The Man asked me to write this blog, I agreed, although I’d rather be napping… what was that?!? Thought I saw a mouse or something… will have to keep an eye on that spot.

As I was saying, the Man brought the Lady home and sat me and the spaz [John's other Cat Lil] down to explain to us what had happened to the Lady. He explained that the Lady had been sick, and that sickness was type 1 diabetes. The man explained that the Lady’s pancreas had been damaged and no longer produced insulin, insulin he explained, was used to control sugar in the Lady’s blood. After the Man explained all of this, first I went and ate some food, then I thought about how a dog must have been responsible for the Lady being sick, DOGS!

The Man explained that we had to help the Lady be better, that it was our duty to make her feel better, that the Lady would need our love and support. The spaz immediately coughed up a hair ball, what a spaz, but I, after getting up on the couch… YIKES! The man just yelled at me, not allowed on the couch. Where was I, oh yes, I figured out how I can be the best cat for the Lady, well the best cat that requires the least amount of work, I do have naps to take you know. I will cuddle with the Lady, I will curl up next to her and purr, and allow my soothing purrs to heal her and settle her. I will also sleep behind her head, and use my body heat to keep her head warm, I bet she’ll like that, my purring will be like her lullaby.

Other then that what can a Cat do? Well besides lobbying my local politicians to support healthcare reform and encourage stem cell research, but then again I’m a cat, so instead I will just go nap.

Meow.
