 So today is D blog day which means that all the D bloggers out there, are blogging away!

I read a quote somewhere online today and thought that it was so fitting for those of us living with Diabetes.  “When the world says give up, hope whispers give it one more try”.  I cannot imagine how many countless days we have all struggled with frustration regarding our blood glucose readings.  I know for me, a time come to mind – a few weeks ago when I endured numerous high readings for what seemed like no good reason.  I would increase my insulin rates, change my infusion sets, I even changed the whole insulin pump hoping, praying for some improvement.  It seemed so easy to just give up as I had tried just about everything.  But something inside me knew that I couldn’t just give up.  I had to work at it until I got my readings under control again.  Which eventually happened.  But these are struggles for us that some people don’t understand.  And I believe that it is part of the word that needs to get out to those who don’t get it.  To those who are fortunate enough to not have to know anything about this disease.  To those who live in denial.  To those who do not have the proper education to take care of themselves.  In the life of a PWD, sometimes when the world of managing diabetes says give up, hope for a better life whispers give it one more try.
